Initial Thoughts
I was not familiar with the Nectarine strain, currently available from DC i-71 marijuana dispensary, Flight Pass. But, I’m happy to be well aquainted now. With a stark, gassy, and fruity aroma that launches out of the bag at your face, it instantly made an impression on my olfactory memory.
Appearance
Compact bright green buds with a layer of white trichomes and reddish-brown pistils.
Status
Starting to cure.
Aroma
Very gassy at first whiff, but this soon transforms into a subtle, exotic fruity scent. There are also notes of citrus and skunk.
Flavor
Gassy and doughy with notes of berries and coffee. A lot like a really pungent batch of Runtz.
Lineage
Unknown, but the team feels it runs balanced at 50/50.
Effects
Though this batch is rather balanced on the whole, this is not consistent throughout as the relaxing qualities quickly take over. The initial headiness is enjoyable and can fool one into thinking that there will be more uplifting vibes to follow, but not here. This becomes mellow, but not sedating, shortly after take off and it kind of made everyone want go introspective and listen to downtempo music. Strangely, though, no one felt sleepy.
Conclusion
Don’t leave this Nectarine open and laying around unless you want your whole area to reek of dank. Of course, true heads know that’s a good sign and look forward to the most pungent of heady options. Overall, the flavor and smoothness when rolled-up are the reason to pick up some of this fine flower.
