Initial Thoughts
The gassy aroma, purple complexion, and starry trichomes all helped this Velvet Glue from DC i-71 marijuana dispensary, All American Papers, entice me. I’m a big fan of “Glue” crossbreeds – or those that have Gorilla Glue (GG#4) in their lineage. While this sample’s lineage is unclear from research, it was my initial hope that with Glue in the name it would have GG onboard.
Appearance
Mostly purple with patches of bright green, these buds are also robust, dense, and have lots of starry trichomes.
Status
Fresh, but beginning to cure.
Aroma
Notes of fuel, coffee grounds, and earth with hints of pine.
Flavor
The flavor is similar to the aroma with lots of gassy fuel notes and a hint of coffee grounds.
Lineage
The lineage of the Velvet Glue strain is a mystery, but the team is quite sure this sample is an indica dominant hybrid.
Effects
Get ready to have a heavily euphoric body high that can help you vegetate for hours. This batch packs a potent indica punch and I found it very sedating. It’s also intoxicating and somewhat disorienting cerebrally. Great for evening use, plan to have snacks and a beverage on hand in case you can’t get up from the couch for a while – they don’t call it “Glue” for nothing.
Conclusion
Overall, this was a mega potent and super stoning batch of indica that also had a deliciously gassy flavor. Careful when rolling this up with friends as it may lead to spacing out, blank stares, and drooling. To experience it for yourself just head to All American Papers today and don’t forget to mention that you heard about it on Toker’s Guide.
