Initial Thoughts
I only recently encountered this Emerald Cut strain, currently available from DC i-71 delivery service, Flower Ave. Not to be confused with the California brand, The Emerald Cup, which holds contests to rank cannabis yearly, this batch quite frankly looked like it might be able to win said Emerald Cup.
Appearance
I immediately noticed the range of purples – some so dark they almost look black – and green hues that are reminiscent of lush emerald gemstones. Delicate orange pistils lay intertwined in heavy layers of large white trichomes.
Structure
The Emerald Cut exhibits tightly packed bracts that contribute to its dense bud composition.
Status
Fresh and just starting to cure.
Aroma
A interesting fusion of diesel and cheesy notes immediately tickled my senses. These were accompanied by hints of citrus and herbs that danced in the background.
Flavor
Upon inhalation, the taste buds are instantly greeted with a burst of zesty lemon that mixes nicely with fuel-like undertones. This terpy delight coats your mouth and the sweet aftertaste doesn’t dissipate.
Lineage
The Emerald Cut strain is a potent cross between Fire OG and Emerald Diesel that results in an 80/20 Indica dominant hybrid.
Effects
After a long day at work This Emerald Cut is perfect for alleviating pressure in my head from staring at computer screens all day. One of the distinct characteristics is its ability to induce a delightful tingling sensation in my toes, and then spreading a soothing wave up my body. It’s a stoned high that leaves me sedated and calm.
Conclusion
It turns out that The Emerald Cut, a strain I never heard of before, has quickly become one of my new favorites. The awesome flavor doesn’t stop until the very last hit, the effects are ideal, and the unique colors are magnificent. To make sure that you can grab these boastful buds before they are gone head on down to Flower Ave and pick up some of this exquisite harvest today. Don’t forget to mention that Toker’s Guide sent you!
