Initial Thoughts
I’m personally a big fan of Kush Mintz, and I’m excited to try this one coming out of DC i-71 delivery service, Cannabear, right now. As a sought after strain in the modern cannabis world, I’ve been seeing a lot of Kush Mintz variations and crosses recently. This is likely due to its uniquely delicious flavor profile that combines minty-ness with exotic, earthy kush notes and this sample is a great example of said cultivar.
Appearance
Beautiful deep green and purple buds dripping in trichomes all over.
Structure
Spongy triangle shaped nugs.
Status
Cured well. Breaks down really well. Not crumbly, but easy to work with by hand.
Aroma
This strain gives a minty and earthy classic kush smell.
Flavor
I loved the flavor of this strain, it tastes very much like you’d expect from the smell, but a bit sweeter. This sweetness was on the inhale and exhale with most of the minty-ness in the aftertaste.
Lineage
Kush Mintz is a balanced hybrid cross of Animal Mints and Bubba Kush.
Effects
I smoked this at the end of my day and it lead to a restful evening of relaxation without much drowsiness. I felt at ease, joyful, playful and ended up being being super silly, even rolling around on the floor with my dog for a while. I’d say this strain is uplifting in mood, but relaxing and stress relieving in general – a great combination for those who want to take a load off, but not go comatose in the process.
Conclusion
This strain helped to stimulate my appetite and put me in a bubbly, radiant mood while relaxing my bones. I’d suggest this if you are looking for a flavorful flower and a happy head high with an otherwise calming demeanor.
