Grape Goober – Top Level DC

Initial Thoughts

Though the name may not sound particularly appealing, this batch of Grape Goober from DC i-71 storefront dispensary, Top Level, is like a gassy Gelato with extra grape notes – a very intriguingly delicious aroma. I was psyched to roll it up and expect an immense indica body high.

Appearance

Compact, light green buds with blue-ish purple flecks and lots of trichome coverage.

Aroma

Creamy, gassy, skunky, and funky with grape notes.

Flavor

Very much like the aroma, but with hints of pine and even more grape notes in the exhale.

Lineage

The Gooberz strain is a cross of Peanut Butter Breath and Grape Pie that runs indica dominant. Grape Goober is likely just a phenotype of Gooberz that displays more purple coloration and grape flavor.

Effects

It possesses a great body high that’s noticeable immediately and begins spreading throughout with what feels like little glowing tingles. It is very, very calming and I even got the sense that the world around me got a little bit softer and quieter. There are some sedative and disorienting effects, so it’s probably best to save this one for the evening hours. However, I needed some healing today so I burned it in the morning and then started writing this. So far I’m super mellow, but still awake, and the writing is slow, but feels good with all mental anxiety seemingly turned off.

Conclusion

This is a solid batch that burns right, hits hard, and will delve you into an indica body blanket of comfort for hours. Definitely roll this one up to get the full experience and don’t forget to tell Top Level that you heard about them on Toker’s Guide!
