Initial Thoughts
When I saw this batch of Gelato at DC marijuana dispensary, ,,Taste Budz, I knew it had been too long since I’d seen this old friend in its original format. Sure there have been countless offshoots and crossbreeds with Gelato genetics floating around DC recently, but I found it refreshing to see (and smell) buds like these again. If you’re a fan of the original Gelato like I am then you’ll know the creamy, funky, gassy aroma as soon as it hits you.
Appearance
Beautifully grown purple buds, with a heavy layering of frosty trichomes and burnt orange pistils.
Status
Fresh, but starting to cure.
Aroma
Dank and creamy with hints of fuel and grape.
Flavor
Creamy, with floral notes similar to lavender and a hint of fuel.
Lineage
The Gelato strain is a cross of Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies that runs slightly indica dominant.
Effects
This Gelato delivered functional effects that were perfect for daytime use. It provided a boost of energy without overwhelming me, allowing me to remain productive throughout the day. Despite its heavy body high, I didn’t feel weighed down, instead it left me feeling uplifted and motivated. This strain also had a positive impact on my mood, helping to ease my anxiety and promote a sense of happiness and well-being.
Conclusion
Gelato never seems to stick around too long once it’s in my possession, I just love rolling some up and letting its effects decide the direction. If you need help deciding what direction to go, head towards ,,Taste Budz to grab some of this Gelato and don’t forget to mention that Toker’s Guide sent you!
