Initial Thoughts
One of my favorite aspects about The Bank is their ability to cultivate top-tier, flavorful, and original strains for their users. They’re constantly aiming to be the staple of your flower selection, and this Fall ‘97, available at Cannabist right here in Norfolk, is definitely one of those heavy hitters!
Appearance
Light green buds with peachy colored pistils and purple hues speckled throughout. My batch consisted of extremely large buds that had me drooling the instant I laid eyes on them!
Status
Relatively fresh, beginning to cure. Stored with a terpene shield!
Aroma
This aroma is a bit complex. It radiates with the scent of a freshly baked fruit pie and a thick gassy undertone that doesn’t overwhelm the fruitiness.
Flavor
On the front end, this is a very smooth toke with hints of pear and plum – very fruity! However, on the back end, the gassy undertone leaves a buttery flavor in your mouth that requires lots of liquids in order to keep the cotton mouth at bay.
Lineage
Bred by The Bank, the Fall ‘97 strain is an indica leaning cross of Purple Urkle and OG Kush.
Effects
Initially, I was worried about the potency of the OG Kush blasting through and landing me in-da-couch. However, the Purple Urkle really helps to tone down that potency and makes it a bit more functional for a great daytime strain! This is one of those strains that brings out your creativity, gives you a little energy, and doesn’t leave you feeling groggy as you come back down to planet Earth.
Conclusion
This Fall ‘97 strain by The Bank is a great example of social friendly bud with uplifting energy, a cozy body buzz, and an out of this world fruity/gassy flavor. All I wanted to do in the moment was frolic around the park with my friends – it’s a wonderful hybrid to keep on hand for daytime use for this reason alone – and bask in the sun. Fall ’97 definitely had me falling for it, and I know it’ll have you falling too!
