Initial Thoughts

Amazingly this batch of Cinnamon Rolls actually smells a lot like fresh cinnamon rolls, in a ganja sort of way. This was clear from the moment I opened the opaque jar from DC i-71 storefront dispensary, Monko. As you might expect, these buds are also quite sticky – like an oooey gooey cinnamon roll – when you break them up.

Appearance

Rotund, dark green, and purple hand-trimmed buds with starry trichomes.

Status

Starting to cure, but the aroma is still fresh.

Aroma

Sweet, sugary, and bready with a hint of spice that’s not far from cinnamon.

Flavor

Gassy and bready with hints of the same sort of spice mentioned for the aroma. Highly exotic.

Lineage

The Cinnamon Rolls strain is a cross of Pancakes and Runtz that runs slightly indica dominant.

Effects

Surprisingly uplifting in a calm, but joyous way, these buds are quite euphoric. I seemed to have no trouble conversing and recalling funny stories and anecdotes from memory, yet I was clearly in a spellbound state of mind given the intoxicating nature of the high. Sitting felt good and streaming shows was very enjoyable – I definitely didn’t get a sense of couch lock either.

Conclusion

Overall, this is a great indica-oriented option for late afternoon or early evening. It can immediately help you take a load off and bring a head change that can forge the perfect relaxing, but not sleepy, evening. It’s warm feels and mood enhancement were, in a way, sort of like having a cinnamon roll for dessert instead of breakfast.
