Initial Thoughts

What’s better than finding a fresh batch of Lava Cake? It’s finding a 2G cannon of Lava Cake expertly rolled by Cannahiba and available at DC marijuana dispensary, Elevated Lounge. Not for the faint of heart, cannons are great for special occasions, or just because you want to burn on a massive, delicious, wood-tipped pre-roll.

Appearance

A perfectly rolled cylindrical cannon with a Cannahiba branded label and a functional wooden tip.

Status

Freshly rolled.

Flavor

Smooth until the last pull but the flavor seemed to develop more as the joint burned. It built up slow but about halfway through I started getting really sweet and tasty fruity notes that came out of nowhere.

Lineage

The Lava Cake strain is a cross of Grape Pie and Thin Mint Cookies that runs indica dominant.

Effects

Lava Cake hit me with heavy effects right from the start, especially after smoking an entire cannon. As the initial high settled in, the munchies hit me hard, making it impossible to resist raiding the fridge. The wave of relaxation that followed was equally intense, making it hard to avoid sinking into the couch.

Conclusion

Be sure to light up these cannons with patience. I find it best to roast the tip and get the end completely cherried before taking my first pull. It leads to a more even burn making the entire experience more enjoyable.
